Whenever I was asked what I wanted to be when I was growing up, the answer was always to be a vet. Born and raised in Palm Beach County, Florida, my passion for animals led me to start my veterinary studies at the University of Florida. After graduating from the Veterinary College, I worked in corporate and private practice for several years before moving back to my home in Palm Beach County.
I currently live in Palm Beach County with my fur family, which consists of three dogs, two cats and two dogs and a cat. If I don't help my family and their furry companions When I go with them to the beach or the park, hike with them, camp or hike with them, I enjoy it.
One memory I have always carried with me is the loss of my childhood best friend, my cat Stoney. My last memory is of being laid on a cold sterile table and being so stressed at the time that I died without a vet to help me through the transition. I can't help thinking that Stonye would have felt more comfortable at home because I knew the vet was doing his best.
